Night Support Worker (Bank)
Line Management Responsibility: Client Support Manager
Hours per week:
- Weekday nights – 14.5 hours
- Sat into Sun – 15.5 hours
- Sunday into Mon – 16.5 hours
Overall Purpose of the Job
- To manage practical aspects of the running of the night shelter when on shift
- To assess the needs of homeless individuals approaching CHESS for support and help the team identify suitable applicants
- To manage entry, exit and risk for service users in the night shelter
- To link/refer clients to appropriate specialist services outside of CHESS
- Handle enquiries from service users in other CHESS accommodation as necessary
- To keywork existing service users – holding support meetings and providing advice and guidance with referral to day team if necessary
