CHESS helps rebuild and gives hope for the future.

By taking adults off the streets and into safe, stable accommodation, we create a solid foundation for rebuilding lives.

However our work doesn’t stop there.

We recognise that addressing the root causes of homelessness are crucial. Through our support services CHESS equips individuals with the tools to regain their independence and rebuild their lives.

How your donation helps

Your donation, however big or small, provides a brighter future to someone experiencing homelessness. Here’s how your donation will be used:

£10 provides hot meals and drinks

£20 assists with accommodation costs in CHESS properties

£30 fills an essential box for clients moving into their own home

£40 provides support services to get clients back on their feet

Support Worker Services

Our Support Workers meet with the client regularly and help them to address the issues that caused them to become homeless and to progress with their life.

Training & Wellbeing Services

Clients are offered ways to engage in the local community, experience and learn new skills or gain access to sports and fitness.

Moving On Assistance

We help our clients move on into their own accommodation by providing moving services and Essentials Packs filled with items hey need for a new home.

Outreach Services

We supply emergency food items, sleeping bags and warm clothes to rough sleepers across 8 Essex districts: Chelmsford, Braintree, Brentwood, Epping, Castle Point, Uttlesford, Maldon & Rochford.
